2010 Microsoft Imagine Cup
For Kids in the Future is a series of animated films created by team Mirror Vita ( Mirror Su and Vita Su) during Microsoft Imagine Cup in 2010. Microsoft Imagine Cup is the world largest student competition regarding using imagination and technology to solve the toughest problems in the world today.
For Kids in the Future series were 2D hand-drawn animations composited with simple CG. The story shows that children's nature of curiosity and imagination is the key answer of solving the world's most difficult issues, such as environmental protection and wild animals' welfare. In episode 1, three kids used a video game to create a solution that terminates air pollution; In episode 2, a group of kids used the E-library to learn and design a ice-making robot to save the polar bears; In the final episode, three kids developed a mobile device that detects living wild animals and plants, in order to stop a big corporation to demolish a local park. To fit the idea of kid's perspective, we used children's book and children's drawing style as the aesthetic choice.
Team Mirror vita won the world champion in digital Media Group in 2010.
